This clam shell is sought after in the aquarium trade, as their often striking coloration mimics that of the true giant clam; however, the maxima's maintain a manageable size, with the shells of large specimen typically not exceeding 7.9" in length. Place on a coffee table or add some clean sand and votives. Personally, I prefer the raw simplicity of it as is.
Due to the weight and delicate nature of this shell and to insure safe transport it will need to be double boxed, which is why shipping is high on this item. Inside of shell is shallow.
