Excellent example of of a vintage horse brass martingale with black leather strap with 6 sokid brass talismans. A horse brass or talisman is a brass plaque used for the decoration of horse harness gear, especially for shire and parade horses.
Measures approx. 23 1/4" long and 3 1/4" wide. The talismans are 2 3/4" wide.
Good vintage condition - the leather is not worn very much, I would guess these were used for interior decorative purposes rather then on a horse
