Absolutely exquisite egg-shaped music box with a filigree-like style. It opens to display a shoe/slipper that when wound plays a delightful tune that I cannot identify. The music box is two toned, silver egg with gold ascents. The top of the music box has silver roses with a crystal in the center of eggs.
This musical egg is in wonderful condition with no cracks, breaks, or missing parts. I believe this egg is based on the Imperial court jeweler Peter Carl Fabergé who created magnificent eggs for Russian nobility and European dignitaries. This reproduction egg is inspired by those fantastical creations.
