This is a great antique still bank for The United States National Bank of Portland Oregon. The spine reads "Book of Thrift". FDIC insured saving bank. I think this Book Bank is in very good antique condition for being about 90 years old but minor wear on the top and bottom corners of the spine.
This is a great little Paper Leather Embossed Book Bank. Amazing craftsmanship of this Still Bank advertising. These banks didn't come with Keys, you would put your premiums in the book every week and then when they were due, you took your Book Bank to the Bank or Insurance Company and they would open it for you. The Slot on top is for coins and the round circle on the bottom was for Bills.
Measures approx: 4 3/4" long and 3 1/2" wide
